If you’re deaf and you have a question about the Motability Scheme, British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters can communicate between you and our customer services team.

What you can use it for

You can use this service if you're a BSL user and you have access to a smartphone, tablet or PC or Mac with a webcam.

You can use this service to:

  • Check the status of your application with your dealer
  • Manage anything to do with to your lease, if you're already on the Scheme
  • Make a complaint or an appeal to rejoin the Scheme

You can also pre-book BSL Video Interpreters and other types of remote communication support for any time and anywhere, using any video platform.

How it works

When it’s open

Our InterpretersLive! video service is open 8am to midnight, every day of the week. If an interpreter is not available, you can wait or try again later.

What you’ll need

You’ll need to access this service using Windows-supported devices or an Apple Mac.

If you'd like to connect using an iPad, iPhone or Android tablet, please download this app(opens in a new window).

After you’ve registered, enter 'interpreterslive@signsolutions.uk.com' into the search box and make a video call. An interpreter will answer and connect your call to us.

The service is compatible with these browsers:

  • Google Chrome version 46 and later
  • Firefox version 45 and later
  • Opera version 39 and later

If you’re using Safari 9 or Internet Explorer 11, please download the plugin when it asks you to. You'll only need to do this once.
