My vehicle has been in an accident. What do I do?
You'll need to register a claim with Direct Line Motability (DLM), even if there's no damage to your vehicle.
You do not need to tell us about the accident. DLM will let us know if they need more information.
You can register a claim online in your Motability Scheme online account. Go to 'Insurance' in the menu, then visit the DLM insurance portal.
You'll be signed in automatically, so you do not need any other details. Then go to 'Claims' to get started.
The portal is available all day, every day to log a claim online at a time that suits you.
Or you can call DLM directly on 0300 037 3737 if you have a car or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle). Call 0800 294 0790 if you have a scooter or powered wheelchair.
Phonelines are open 8am to 7pm. Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm on Saturday. If it's outside of these hours, make sure you report the incident when the lines are next open.
DLM will let you know if your vehicle needs any repairs. They'll also arrange other transport, where possible.
If your vehicle has been stolen or vandalised
First report it to the police to get a crime number, then contact our insurance provider.
You’ll need to give them your customer reference number, the date, time and details of the incident.
