If you drive an electric car and choose to pay your own road tax, you’ll need to start paying tax for this vehicle from 2025. If you use your disability exemption on your Scheme electric vehicle, we’ll arrange this for you, as normal – you will not need do or pay anything.
We are sorry, it looks like we have an issue!
Tax
We'll arrange for your car or WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle to be taxed each year, unless you've decided to pay tax privately or you live on the Isle of Man.
If you live in Great Britain or Northern Ireland
When you get your new car or WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle, it will already be taxed for the first year. We'll renew your tax for you each year, throughout your lease.
If you live on the Isle of Man
We'll tax your car or WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle for you for the first year. You're responsible for renewing the vehicle tax each year of your agreement.
Your government-funded mobility allowance entitles you to a free tax disc (exemption from vehicle excise duty) but we cannot get this for you.
