Getting your next product

If your lease is coming to an end, it's time to start thinking about which product might suit your needs for the next few years.

Three months before the end of your lease

We’ll send you a letter to remind you it's time to choose a new product on the Scheme.

When you order your next scooter or powered wheelchair, we’ll check there are no issues with your current lease and that you’re still receiving your qualifying mobility allowance.

Your next steps

Start by talking to different dealers and getting lots of advice. It's also worth having a new home assessment, in case your needs or home environment have changed. Test drive some products too.

Once you've chosen your new product, your dealer will order it for you. It’ll be delivered at the same time as taking away your old one, so you do not need to worry about not being able to get around.

Your dealer will keep you updated on delivery dates. If there are any delays, you'll be able to extend the lease on your current product until your new one is ready.
