When will I be reassessed for PIP?

You do not need to do anything until the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) writes to you. Once they’ve contacted you, make sure you answer within their timescales.

The DWP (or the Department for Communities, in Northern Ireland) has been gradually contacting people to let them know their Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is due to end and explain how they can apply for Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

These are all complete in Northern Ireland but are still going on across the rest of the UK.

In Scotland, PIP is being replaced with Adult Disability Payment (Scotland). It’s been introduced by Social Security Scotland, which is taking over disability assistance payments from the DWP for people living in Scotland.
