How you pay

Decide whether you want to use some or all of your mobility allowance, then choose a car that suits you. After you’ve collected your car, we’ll receive your payments straight from your allowance provider, to make paying simple. So you know – you might need to top this up with an Advance Payment.

Choose how much you'll pay

How much you pay depends on what vehicle you select

Some of your allowance

You can choose to use just some of your allowance. This gives you lots of cars to choose from and is known as a 'fixed' or 'constant' lease. You'll keep and spend the rest of your allowance as you want, including if it goes up in the future.

All of your allowance

You can choose to use all of your allowance. This gives you over many more cars to choose from and is known as a 'variable' lease. We'll always receive your total mobility allowance, even if it goes up during your lease.

All of your allowance and an Advance Payment

This is your total mobility allowance, even if it goes up, plus a one-off Advance Payment. This is the difference between your allowance payments and the cost over three years. This is a 'variable' lease too.

Things to consider

Advance Payments

How topping up your allowance with your own money can help:

  • Choose from a wider choice of cars
  • Part exchange your old, non-Scheme car against your Advance Payment to help pay for it
  • Use your £750 New Vehicle Payment to help towards your Advance Payment

Price freeze

We update our prices every three months to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

Our 'price freeze' means the price at the time you apply is locked, even if it changes before you get your vehicle.

Extras and getting adaptations

You can choose optional extras, like heated seats and privacy glass. You’ll need to pay extra for these.

We recommend you get your adaptations at the start of your lease, if you need them. If you decide you need them later, we can still add them after your lease has started, but you’ll need to pay for them separately.

Visit a dealer

After you've found a car you like, you can start applying online or go straight to your dealer. They'll check if it's right for you, ask if you need adaptations and arrange test drives for you.
