These are the most common type of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle) on the Scheme and they’re a popular choice for wheelchair users. They’re specially adapted so you can travel in your wheelchair, as a passenger.
You’ll usually access this WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle using a ramp or lift, then you or someone else will need to secure your wheelchair with tie-downs.

You can choose to sit in your wheelchair towards the back of the WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle.
You can choose to sit in your wheelchair near the front of the WAVWheelchair Accessible Vehicle.
