Small Wheelchair Accessible VehicleS

These are our smallest Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, but they’re still bigger than a standard car.

At a glance

  • Up to five people, including the driver and wheelchair user
  • Has a ramp
  • Has a lowered floor, more headroom and a lower ramp angle
  • Has at least one passenger seat in the back
  • These feel most similar to a standard car

Medium-small Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles

These aren’t quite small or medium. They fit somewhere in between.

At a glance

  • More space than a small Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, for extra passenger seats, equipment or more flexible seating
  • Like small Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, these feel most similar to a standard car
  • You can sit at the back or up front, between the second row of seats

Medium-large Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles

These aren’t quite medium or large. They fit somewhere in between.

At a glance

  • Useful for large wheelchairs
  • Flexible seating and most come with a ramp
  • Up to nine passengers including the wheelchair user and driver
  • Some have room for two wheelchair users
  • Sometimes a supplier can fit a lift, but this will reduce the head room and cost more

Large Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles

These are our largest Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles. They’re similar to commercial vehicles.

  • Good for big families or travelling in a large or heavy wheelchair
  • Comes with a lift
  • Some can be converted to make room for two wheelchair users and other passengers

These are Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles people have given back to us after they’ve ended their lease early, so they’ll be up to three years old. They’re all in very good condition, they cost less and we can still adapt them to suit your needs.
